I just got back from Rome and had the most amazing time! I wish all my Alpha Chi sisters could have been there to experience this with me. There are actually a huge amount of Alpha Chis studying abroad in Barcelona and Rome. So we got a bunch of pictures with us in the colleseum and trevi fountain!

Hey to all my beautiful AXO sisters,
So far my month and a half here in Alcalá de Henares, Spain has gone by really fast! I have been meeting a ton of new people and seeing so many beautiful places. Last week I went to the Real Madrid stadium and got to go on the field and all kinds of fun back stage stuff.

I'm so blessed that I have another Alpha Chi sister here with me as a travel buddy and making sure we are keeping each other safe. Katy and I went to the palace of Madrid together, Segovia, and Seville. When we were in Seville we got to see the last ever gothic cathedral and we went to an original flamenco show. In Segovia we got to see the Roman Aqueducts and one of the first fortresses of Spain.

I just booked a flight to Portugal and am so excited to see some other places of Europe. My mom and sister will be here in March and we are planning on going to Rome. I have so much to tell you guys when I am back! I miss you all so much but you have no idea how happy I am to get facebook messages and skype you all. Seeing your pretty faces makes me feel like I'm still just right there. I love you all so much and hope you girls have fun at the date party (please don't make me too jealous with all your picture). Stay safe and please save a few One Tree Hill episodes for me in the TV lounge. Also, I fully expect to see all of you the second I'm home. I told my parents I can't wait more than a day after I get back in the U.S. to see you guys.

I love ya'll so much LITB,
    Sarah

Time spent abroad studying in Spain has gone by so fast! It has already been around 5 weeks since I first arrived in Alcala de Henares with my sorority sister, Sarah, and I still cannot get over how amazing being here is.

Transitioning to living in the states to living in Spain was difficult at first, but it was helpful having a sister there with me the entire time especially for our first travels. Already we have gone to Madrid, Sevilla, and Segovia and have seen some of the most amazing cathedrals and palaces in Spain. I cannot express how much I love it here, although the language barrier is sometimes interesting but the Instituto Franklin has been there every step of the way helping us, even setting me up with a Spanish student who wants to learn English so we can both practice.

There isn't even enough time to go everywhere I want to go or see everything I want to see! Yet we are trying, Sarah and I are sticking to a plan and already have made plans to go to Barcelona, where we'll get to see Elena, Ibiza and maybe Valencia as well. Although I miss Alpha Chi more and more every day, especially on certain instances that I know my sisters would enjoy, studying abroad and learning a different culture has been a dream come true and I know they are here with me every step of the way.

    love and miss you all!!
    itb,
    Katy
