  • Psi Chapter Living Room Redecoration Fund

     

    The Psi chapter house is home to 74 lovely young women who find our house as a home away from home. In addition to the in-house member, Psi's membership of over 200 women frequent the facility and find themselves making new friends over favorite shows in the living room or while studying for shared classes. Additionally, our membership uses the living room to practice skits for recruitment or the variety of dances and cheers used for U-Sing, Homecoming and Scandals.

     

    No matter what the case, the living room is home to it all. It is important for the chapter to have easily moveable furniture for practice, cozy couches for watching TV, and most importantly, spaces for studying.

     

    Psi chapter members, advisors and the Housing Corporation Board have been working on a plan to update the space to match the rest of the house, while still being functional and cost effective.

     

     

  • Future Plans

     

    Plans for the room are below. These are inspriation boards, created by Psi alumnae, Libby Haynes. The room will be brighter, lighter, and feature more study spaces for our members. The women are excited for these plans and can't wait to see the new space.

  • Study Seating

    This area is currently the only table in the living room that allows members space to study and spread out. However, if a member is to have a study group or group project meeting, there are only four chairs at the table.

     

     

     

  • Study Break

    The furniture in this area is probably the newest in the space. They are also used the most, as they have the most cushion left in the seats, and also because they are the couches that sit in front of the downstairs TV.

     

     

     

  • Time for Music                                                                                                     The chapter house has a beautiful piano in the living room that members use for U-Sing and Scandals practice. It is also used while using ritual songs, and just for fun! The members enjoy having the piano, but as you can see, the bench fabric is in need of an update.
